The most popular Mini-Mal sizes are 7’2” – 7’10” with 7’6” – 7’8” the most suitable for the surfer in the 11 stone to 13 stone weight range, go bigger or smaller if you’re heavier or lighter, but allow a little more length if you’re starting surfing a bit late in life.

Width’s vary from 7’2” – 20 3/4” – 2 3/4” thick to the 7’10” – 22 1/8” – 3” thick with in between lengths having relative width’s 7’6” – 21 3/4” – 2 7/8” thick. Most popular tail shapes – square or squash – good for planing in small waves. Rounded pin – a slight lose of speed in small waves, but better turning characteristics.
All Mini – Mals are designed to paddle easy and will ride white water if required but this board will also rip in good waves under the feet of a good surfer – don’t think it will only go in a straight line.
